HISTORY
In late 2015 a new operator re-opened Upper Hutt's cinema complex, formerly known as the Ascot, at 68 Queen Street Upper Hutt.
Monterey Cinemas offer a wide range of highly anticipated Hollywood blockbusters, along with many other mainstream and family films that cater for the whole community from family and younger audiences, to the older audiences.
Monterey Cinemas is a fully digital mainstream cinema brand offering a wide range of movies, and great customer experience for the community of Upper Hutt and beyond.
Monterey Cinemas Upper Hutt is part of the nationwide Rialto Cinemas chain which includes Monterey Howick, Bridgeway Cinemas Auckland and Rialto Cinemas Tauranga.
Owners Kelly Rogers and David Ross say they are “delighted” to be involved in the re-opening of the Upper Hutt cinemas, and to be able to provide the wider community with a “superb movie-going experience with comfort and excitement”!
